BIOGRAPHY
Plying his trade from an era when music was played on cassettes and vinyl, and there were only a handful of DJs in the whole of India, Pradeep Maharana (Taktixx) started his journey at Leopold’s Cafe in Mumbai in 1992. He went on to hold residencies at Kolkata’s most legendary clubs, and perform popular events across India and in Bhutan. In addition to being one of the pioneer DJs of the Indian electronic music scene, Maharana has turned his talents to production with releases on both Indian and international labels. As a DJ/producer, Maharana’s eclectic style moves through genres including house, techno, trance, funk, breaks & old skool. Currently, he’s a resident DJ at Bonobo in Mumbai.
